Saint Seiya Soldier's Soul is a quaint fighting game that has its small playability value robbed by a unique fatal flaw in the restart option that drags the action and frustrates the player. While the game has some interesting features, it mostly just drags through monotonous gameplay and a confusing story.
However, it’s actually really charming in the way it recreates some of the lesser production values and camp of the anime. The story doesn’t allow you to choose a specific character and each chapter alternates through the main Bronze Saints (Seiya and his friends). While at first this can seem frustrating as you’re forced to learn a new character on-the-fly, I actually quite enjoyed this.

I had a passing knowledge of Saint Seiya, but I required someone who was a longtime series fan to watch me play through parts of the story mode and explain elements that were omitted or glossed over before things even began to make sense.
One of the best Seiya games out there, this coming from a guy who played both Sanctuary and Hades back in Ps2 era. Â
It's still exceptionally rare to find kyara-ge on the level of something like Batman: Arkham City, but these games are often at least mildly enjoyable--a category that Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers falls into nicely.
One problem with the gameplay itself is that some characters are much better than others. Seiya for example is faster than everyone else and can check here land several hit combos.
